DURING YOUR STAY
- Turn off the water when brushing your teeth and while showering.
- The taps in rooms and general areas of use have flow reducers (aerators).
- The reuse of sheets and towels is recommended.
ENERGY SAVINGS
Currently the use of electricity is essential to carry out a large part of our activities,
thanks to this type of energy we have a better quality of life. With the push of a button,
we get light, heat, cold, image or sound.
Its use is essential and we hardly stop to think about its importance and the benefits of
using it efficiently.
Saving and using electricity properly, as well as caring for the environment, are not synonymous with sacrificing or reducing our level of well-being or the degree of satisfaction of our daily needs, on the contrary, a change in habits and attitudes can favor greater efficiency in the use of electricity, the rational use of energy resources and the preservation of our natural environment.
Air conditioning filters are cleaned frequently.
The lights are turned off taking advantage of solar energy.
The reuse of towels and sheets is recommended.
DONATIONS
We collaborate in the well-being of the community by periodically making donations of uniforms, clothing, towels, blankets, furniture, food and top quality items through the Akumal Ecological Center.
EDUCATIONAL ROGRAMS
In coordination with the Akumal Ecological Center, we carry out various awareness and training programs with the aim of influencing the formation of an environmental awareness in our collaborators and in nearby communities.
PROTECTION
OF THE REEF
The world's largest coral reef extends from Cancun to Belize. In front of the hotel, there is a protected area with restrictions on swimming due to its environmental significance and the importance of preserving its delicate ecosystem. The coral reef is characterized by its great beauty and diversity and for being of utmost importance for underwater life.
A protection program has been implemented in which information is provided on how to take care of it, taking extreme precautions to avoid any damage, raising awareness in practice of the importance of caring for our ecosystem.
PROTECTION OF
FLORA AND FAUNA
The flora and fauna of the region are protected by rigorous regulations that seek to avoid the probable harmful effects of the activities carried out by man.
We invite you to enjoy the animals taking care of their habitat avoiding participating in activities that cause any damage to them or their environment.
An inventory of flora and fauna was carried out through monitoring, with the aim of knowing and conserving the species that surround Akumal Bay Beach & Wellness Resort.
